The CYO is committed to providing a ministry of information that helps bring youth to their full human potential. The CYO provides opportunities for young people to develop strong moral character, self-esteem and leadership qualities through activities of a social, educational, recreational and athletic nature.
ALL CYO VOLUNTEERS AND PAID STAFF ARE REQUIRED
TO PARTICIPATE IN - SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis requires that everyone who has
regular contact with children in church ministry must participate
in a safe environment training program called "Protecting God’s
Children" produced by the Virtus Corporation.
This requirement is part of the Archdiocese efforts in providing a
safe environment for the children who participate in all of the various
ministries of the church.
The awareness training programs are being conducted regularly
throughout parishes in the archdiocese. A complete schedule may be
obtained by logging onto www.virtus.org and hitting the “Registration”
link on the left side of the Virtus page. You may also check the Criterion
for information.
