The CYO recognizes the hard work of its volunteers each year at the Annual
Volunteer Awards Ceremony. The event is held the first Tuesday of May at Ss.
Peter and Paul Cathedral and honors the recipients of the Spirit of Youth Award,
Monsignor Busald Award and St. John Bosco Medal.
The Spirit of Youth Award is presented to teens who have exhibited a commitment
to volunteerism and  perform outstanding service within the parish for those in
need in the larger community.
The Monsignor Busald Award and St. John Bosco Medal recognizesadults who have given
sustained service to the youth of a particular parish through CYO and youth ministry
programs. The St. John Bosco Medal is the highest honor bestowed upon a volunteer by
the CYO and is designed to honor those who have truly contributed to the physical,
psychological and social development of youth.
