The Catholic Youth Organization, Archdiocese of Indianapolis, is proud to serve over 12,000 young people each year through athletic, cultural and camping programs. The CYO development effort brings people from diverse backgrounds together to support in a meaningful way CYO programs which inspire and educate young people about the qualities and characteristics that drive them to become self-confident leaders and loving and caring individuals.

The CYO sponsors three major fundraising events throughout the year:

CYO Golf Outing
Since 1993 the CYO has sponsored a golf outing during the month of September for friends and supporters of the organization. The event is designed to be a fun and relaxing day for the golfers with a delicious lunch and dinner together with an enjoyable round of golf in between.

A hearty thank you goes out to all the golfers as well as the companies and individuals who have participated in this event. The CYO golf outing has been a big success through great community support.

CYO Bingo
The CYO sponsors a bingo fundraiser each year, typically during the month of February. CYO Bingo has become a very successful fundraiser in addition to being one of the most fun events on the CYO calendar each year. The evening features dinner, drinks, and ten games of bingo with great prizes being awarded.

The CYO wishes to thank everyone who has helped to make this event such a big success.

CYO Summer Fest
Every year since 1974 the CYO has sponsored a special summertime event to benefit the camping program at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa. For many years the party was called a Cadillac Raffle as a Cadillac was the grand prize. The event was then called the Cash Raffle as the grand prize changed to $10,000. Today, this summer get-together is called the CYO Summer Fest and features live entertainment, a reverse raffle, silent and live auctions, tip boards, heads and tails games and raffle items.

This year we are celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Catholic Youth Organization and the party reflects that theme. Whatever the event is called, this summer fundraiser is the longest and most successful the CYO has sponsored. Over the years this event has raised a significant amount of money in support of the CYO Summer Camping program.

CYO Funding Appeals:

In addition to these fundraising activities, the CYO conducts two appeals which generate a large portion of CYO income each year. The CYO Annual Appeal kicks off during the month of September and the Father John Elford Campership Appeal gets underway during the month of April.

Furthermore, the Catholic Youth Organization created an annual sponsorship program called the Sahm-Kuntz Legacy Fund two years ago. Participants in the program are recognized as sponsors of all CYO events throughout the year. Designed to provide financial support for CYO programs now and in the future, the annual fee for becoming a Corporate Partner is $1,500.00. Fifty percent of this contribution is used for current operating expenses and the other half is placed into an endowment fund. Last year the operational dollars helped CYO to purchase a new computer for the CYO office, to complete the transition to county water at Camp Rancho Framasa, and to send center city children to camp during the school year for our Environmental Learning Program. We have a specific goal of one million dollars for the Sahm-Kuntz Legacy Fund endowment and hope to reach that goal within ten years.

All of the gifts that we receive, whether financial, in volunteers hours or through prayer, have a positive impact upon our youth. Thank you for your kind support of the Catholic Youth Organization.
